About The Project
Location: Þórsmörk, Iceland
Dates: July '19-August '19 & July '21-August '21
• Hiked one hour into job site over rough, steep, uneven and sometimes flooded terrain every morning carrying all tools and materials needed for the day.
• Performed trail maintenance including but not limited to installing drains, erosion control, building benches, and tree planting.
• Assumed responsibility for most meals for a trail team of ten.
• Tent camped for the duration of the 2 weeks with little access to electricity, hot water, and other modern amenities.
